Hello, Happy Saturday.

Do you dress up for Halloween? Do you put up Halloween decorations? What kind of stuff?

I usually have a Halloween party to go to every year, so I get dressed up for that. I'm not going this year, but in previous years I've been Medusa, The Corpse Bride and a Vampire. I usually find that planning the costume and getting dressed up is more fun than the party.

I have a few Halloween decorations that I put by the front door. Just a few pumpkins and orange candles, but it looks nice at night when the candles are lit.

How about you?

I don't do anything for halloween, and I don't think I've ever been to a halloween party! I'm not a big one for celebrations of any sort though ;)

We just hand out candy for the kids. No dressing up. No decorations on the house.

Nothing outside this year. I have my witch bottles on the hutch.

Rick had given me a figurine of a witch riding on a broom and hovering on top of a large pumpkin. He said he had to buy it for me because the witch has red hair. *snot*
And we have a figurine of Snoopy and Woodstock dancing around a cauldron. But that's pretty much it.

We don't dress up anymore. We don't have any treat or treaters anymore. (But we still buy candy.)

I don't dress up anymore but the kids do and occasionally hubby too.
I decorate the door and put up window clings, do some fake webs with spiders etc.
we also carve pumpkins that are kept inside.
This is the first year I didn't decorate outside. I usually get mums and pumpkins for the stoop and put scarecrows along they walkway. It was a very busy month but I'll have to make sure I do the outside next year.

The last time I dressed up was about 20 years ago. Our company was having a Halloween party and everyone was to dress up. I had some pointed velvet flats that looked very medieval, so I created a Robin Hood costume. I sewed a green tunic, crennelating the bottom hem, a green hat from the same fabric, and a quiver. I already had the bow and arrows. I found a large green feather for the hat and wore green tights. I went to a costume store and bought fake beard hair and spirit gum. The beard that I put on was very realistic.

It was fun making the costume, and even more fun wearing it. I startled some long-time employees with the beard.

And, best of all, I won first prize for the best costume.

I used to give out candy to the kids but had to stop. I have not dressed up since I was a kid. No one in my court would give out candy for years. Now we have new neighbors and most of them give out candy. Since I stopped giving out candy I'm afraid I might get TP or soap on my windows or worse.

Years ago when my nephew was little he went out for Halloween with two of his friends here in my neighborhood. (My sister lives here). A gang of older teenagers grab him and beat him up and just left him laying in the street. Thank God someone in a car stopped and drove him home. His nose was busted up and he had to have a couple surgeries on it.  I stopped giving out candy after that.

Well...I've lived in this apartment complex for eight years, come November 1st, and have yet to see a trick or treater.  I have a fall wreath on my front door, and a jackolantern grinning through the front window.  Fall flowers on each side of the television, and a harvest angel and a little flower-covered pumpkin on an occasional table.  Should I EVER get this disability resolved, and get a decent back-pay, I will be setting back significant funds for both fall and Christmas decorations.  I LOVE to decorate!

I don't actually dress up, but I do wear my black jeans and a black peasant blouse, and keep my black velvet witch'es hat (covered in orange and black fur) near by, JUST IN CASE!

And yes, there is candy.  My favorite, peanut butter kisses by MaryJane.  I have three pounds of them.  If there are no trick-or-treaters again this year, I'll have to sacrifice myself and eat them all.  I should be done by Christmas!

I have not dressed up for Halloween in years. I have never put up decorations. I do buy candy in case we get trick or treaters. I will be picking up candy tomorow at work. I am actually off work on Monday and the weather is supposed to be really good. If no one shows up again then the candy gets eaten by us.

Halloween is my favorite holiday! I always dress up for the 200+ kids we get.  I put out some tasteful decorations, but not many, as we have a very small yard. I do much of my decorating indoors, as I enjoy seeing it. I try to have one item in every room, except DH's bathroom. I always have my best friend over to help distribute the candy, but this year, she can't come over, so I will be alone. I always made a small buffet dinner for us.

DH and I have attended a public (adults only) Halloween party in a local restaurant for many years and went last night. I didn't enjoy it much, though, as a weird young woman kept following us around all night.  I was dressed as a female Viking, with a (plastic) sword. I had it laying on the table in one of the rooms. She followed us in, sat by me, and started poking my side with it. I nearly told her where to go and what to do when she got there. She was quite odd, and gave off creepy vibes.

We didn't do anything this year. Mom sometimes decorates but didn't this year. We have a bucket with treats for the kids, if they come by. I'm sick as heck today though so not sure they want me handing out candy, lol.
