It has been almost a year since I lost my beloved male tabby cat named Peeker. He died on Thanksgiving Day last year due to kidney failure. He was 12 years old and was the sweetest boy ever. He used to comfort me when I was upset, he would touch my face with his little paw. He also used to sleep with me at night.

He was originally a barn cat that I got from a very good friend. He was black tiger stripes and spots and had a little bit of white on his chin. I loved him so much and I miss him just as much. I just recently got a new 7 month old female calico kitten. She is cute and I am hoping in time she will settle in.

So sorry about Peeker. But he was loved, very much so, and had a decent livespan! Who know how old he would have gotten in that barn.

It has been half a year since the Rogue died, and I still haven't completely recovered. I can only sleep at night with a living cat next to me
, and Sassy Josephine does the job nicely. I have no idea how people manage the loss of a cat without other cats to help.

Thanks for giving a home to the cute calico kitten! Have you thought about getting her a playmate? They are so energetic at that age

Sorry about your loss. November 23rd will be 1 year since that night I came home and Sebastian died in my arms, I am not looking forward to it but the day will come regardless, but I just take strength knowing that he is just fine now, no more sickness or pain.

God Bless.....

It always helps to get another love to help fill that hole in a broken heart, the distraction is good, and the hope it fills you with is welcome. It honors Peeker by acknowledging he taught you what it means to love another, he would never want you to be cloaked in sadness fro the rest of your life. That bond you formed with him will be with you forever, it is spiritual now and death is no match against a love so strong. Let that bond and your precious memories bring you comfort, and allow that little girl into your heart, not to replace a love, but to build beside it. RIP dear Peeker, you are dearly missed by a heart that will hold you tenderly for evermore!
