Finally, 3 1/2 years after he "crossed the rainbow bridge" I had the ability to toss old B12 shots that I got from the vet for my baby Tommy.  He didn't survive long enough for the final two injections.  He had intestinal cancer and dwindled away to 7 1/2 lbs.  He was 17 years old.

I still love him so much!  I'm crying thinking about it.

I'm so sorry you had to say goodbye to your baby;I lost mine to cancer as well and I know, it is so hard.  I have no plans to remove any of my Tiger's things either, I can understand how you feel. That is a very sweet picture;I hope you have lots more like it. (of course, I am very very partial to tabby's!)

Tommy spent his lifetime loving you, but unfortunately had to leave you behind as he took his separate path on his life's journey. He had 17 years of happiness and a loving home to share with the one he loved above all else, that doesn't end with the end of his physical life. The bond you shared is spiritual, it knows no death, it will be with you forever and will bring you comfort when you need it to. When Tommy left he took a piece of your heart to give him comfort, but he left behind a piece of his own for you to cherish. He would never want you to be so sad, he wants only happiness and joy for the one he loves above else, as you would want for him if you were the first to go. Don't have darkness and sorrow fill the heart that he now dwells in, he feels your sadness and wants to comfort you if he can, let him do so when that alarm goes off and  you can feel in your heart that gentle rub on your face. He is still with you and will be for eternity. Use those precious memories you have to bring you comfort and to let you open heart to the sunshine and joy that is there. I'll keep you both in my thoughts and prayers, take care........RIP dear Tommy, the one you loved above all else is grieving, please bring what comfort you can, and know you are held so dearly in a loving heart forever. Let the pure light from your shining star shine down upon the one who misses you so very much!

It is so hard to let go, so strong is the bond between our little friends and us. Our dog Rusty died in 1995, Deb still tears up when she thinks of him....

He is still with you....
