In the Catholic church, the day after Halloween is "All Saints Day, and Nov 2nd is "All Souls Day" for all our friends and relatives who have checked out.  In a similar vein, we could have "All Cats Day" Nov 3rd, for all our Rainbow Bridge cats.

My "All Cats Day" RB cats:  Silky, Cricket, Sasquatch, Shamrock, and Cinnamon.  My grandmom had Mitsey.  And a co-worker friend had Ginger and Lucky.

What a lovely idea! Our hearts do not know the difference between human and cat, they just feel the pain of being shattered. Grieving for someone who meant so much to us is not limited to one species. It is dictated by how much we open our heart and how much we fill it with love for anyone. Love is a feeling, not something we can prevent from happening. I have  had so many losses in my 60 years on this earth, it boggles the mind to think of it. I'll list them from the beginning, not one will ever be forgotten.......  Miss Muffet, Bear, Old Timey, Hobo, Little Burt, Jerry, Siamy, Tortie, Mama and her unnamed kittens, Annie, Ruby, and my soul mate Chrissy. may they all rest in peace. My heart goes out to all those unnamed, cats and kittens that die without ever feeling the love and comfort of being wanted and having a home, please know there are those that love you without ever having known you!
