Heartworm shot medication

Wow that is scary, I am glad we never used that on our dogs, we used frontline and now revolution for heartworms! I feel bad for all the people whose dogs were treated with this.

Oh great that is the one thing I have been using on my dogs That would break my heart to know that I caused them to have a medical problem or worse. I am calling my vet in the morning to ask a lot of questions and to see if there is anything that can be done.

My friend Iris told me that she has used it on her dogs a few years ago and nothing happend to them . Well it does say , it is only a few % of the dogs who got sick and died . I just think more study needs to be done on that medication .

Thanks for posting...I was considering it, but I'll certainly stick with tried & true monthly pills for now.

"Extremely rare" isn't much consolation to those affected. How sad.


I hope your dogs will be OK, Blondiecat. They're adorable. It sounds like the affected dogs in the story were older pets, and yours are pretty young, aren't they?

Thanks I hope that they will be okay too The oldest of the 3 is Ceasar,the MinPin, he is 6. Nemo is 2 and Nakita is about a year old give or take a month or two.
