My cat Atticus may have aspirated food in his rush to eat. Right after I fed him, I hear him cough and retch and he kind of hung his head while drool hung out of his mouth. The other two cats stopped eating and followed him around as he walked around coughing on and off for about twenty minutes. I tried offering him water but he wasn't interested in it. He then went back to his bowl, ate the rest of his food and seems fine now. He is a young, neutered Manx. What should I watch for? I'm just worried about it because I've had cats my entire life and I've never had a cat cough like this from food.

I'm so sorry you didn't get a reply to your question from a week ago.
How is your beautiful boy doing now?   By now you must know if he's suffered any ill effects so letting you know about the dangers of pneumonia is probably unnecessary, but I am very curious as to how he did.  I hope Atticus (lovely name, btw) is doing well.
He is really a gorgeous cat and I love his little face.  He's so intent in the photo!
