SPCA vs. Humane Society

I was wondering if anyone knew the difference between these two. Obviously they are different organizations, but are there really big differences?

The reason I'm asking is because I'm in the process of building a cat information site. I'm going to be selling calendars and cat products on it, and $5.00 from every sale is going to be donated to either the SPCA or the Humane Society.

Locate your LOCAL shelter or humane group and designate the money for them. While both HSUS and the ASPCA do wonderful work, they raise MILLIONS of dollars per year. Your $5 donations will have more impact on a local shelter.
