injured stray cat

we live in a rural area next to an old barn.. We have noticed a stray cat that looks like it has been hit by a car. It has a broken leg that is just dangling and a cut at/near its neck. Also missing some teeth. It has started hanging around the house and my children and i are devastated. We do not have the financial means to help but this cat is going to survive for now but I dont know how it will do this winter. So sad. we really need to know what to do.

obviously I cannot put this cat down on my own and I think if the leg was amputated this cat has a great chance of survival. I f we could get this medical situation under control I would be able to make sure it has adequate shelter outside and food for the winter. this cat is such a trooper and hanging in there with such devastating injuries.

Adopt A Pet is in your town. I'd give them a call, tell them about the cat & maybe they can come & trap it

Any update on this poor kee??  I do hope you were able to attain some kind of help for it.

As a very last option, I would contact the Humane Society, rather than allow it to suffer.
