hi guys! we just had our cat Lana breeded not more than 3 weeks ago. We're actually quite excited about it. But the problem is her nipples are not turning pink, though she got fatter. Her appetite also increased. She's more affectionate now, like she is in heat. Im wondering if my cat is pregnant or not. please help. :)

the nipples reddening is not 100% sure - sometimes they dont change in color much.

What you describe sounds as she is very probable preggy.  Of course, there are also false pregnancies, but they arent that common.

If you wish her to deliver the kittens, begin to prepare.

Good luck!

hi! thanks for that! but here's the weird thing. it's like she never got out of heat stage since she was mated. she doesn't give loud cries(evesince she got in heat) but she's always rubbing herself to us,and she always raises her rear end. im wondering if this is just a false pregnancy or a real one.

wait, a heat during three weeks?   It happens now and then with an almost constant heat.  Its of course taking a toll on their body. Make sure she eats well and nourishing...

If you dont desire kittens, please spay her. Make sure the vet is experienced surgeon as spaying while in heat is extra tricky.

IF you WANT these kittens, wait some till you are sure if she is preg or not, and try anew realatively soon - because tight heats are tiresome on them and their body.

Your vet or an experienced breeder could probably tell by palpitation unless it is a small litter of one or two. The kittens can be felt by an experienced vet at around 17-25 days.  Ultrasound can detect earlier IF it is a really good ultrasound and a very experienced person reading it. Most vets (except teaching hospitals associated with vet schools) don't have this type of expensive equipment or experience. The average vet and ultrasound can determine at around 3 weeks or more. I am not sure about the general costs, but my vet charges about $100 for an ultrasound, I think. He hasn't actually charged me yet for one (breeder discount).
