 my friend successfully caught the last of our feral family (mom + 5 kittens now 6 mo.). I am a little scared to receive him because of how hard he was to catch. But I feel relief that he is not outside. Spay/neuter is on for Thursday of gray momma black kitten and tortie kitten. Black kitten will get flea treated vaccinated and nail trimmed at that time.

Momma was caught a week ago, she was hanging out outside with little black kitten longest. Little tortie was caught a few weeks before that- she's with my FIL. Usually mommas start pushing kittens away but I'm pretty sure she and the black kitten have bond.

What do I do when I get black kitten? Do I try to put him with momma? *bites nails* this is stressful.

I wanted to buy them a large vertical cage with three levels but I don't know if I can afford it. If I could I'd have bought it by now.

I will update when I know more. Any suggestions will be helpful. :Chat Noir:

Is Momma in a room of her own now?  Perhaps you can get a large dog crate (not fancy, just a crate) and put the little guy in in Momma's room.

If they are bonded, there shouldn't be a problem.  If they fuss at one another, the kitten will need to be in a different room.

What are your ultimate plans for them?  Once neutered/spayed, do you hope to find homes or will you release them outside again?

Either way, blessings on your for helping this little family!

thanks for the advice. my husband thinks momma is almost ready to take over the guest room maybe another week because she gets spayed Thursday. I heard from my friend the black kitten is holdable yay! so hopefully no more cages on a week.
ultimate plan is to incorporate them I to my clan but if I cannot then I would have to find homes for them once socialized. wouldnt send them to a shelter and wouldn't bring them back outside so. Hope to pick him up soon!

Sometimes we end up with rescues we haven't had time to make plans for, so I am glad to hear you have a good, solid one for them.  They sound like lucky little kitties!

rough rescue night long story short he is the smartest of the bunch most Wiley and he ended up under my bed not at all what I wanted.
I put a cube bed next to him and put momma in the room in her cage. at last check he's in the cube. gonna try and carrier him today by picking his cube up. gonna have to carrier him until vet. I don't even know if they'll take him like this.
