This might be the incorrect forum but i can't seem to decide which one is. Lol

I'm a new member and our Wills was recently euthanized due to cardiomyopathy. Poor guy went downhill very quickly in one week. One ******** week from dx to death. Heads are still reeling.

Husband would like to rescue a bonded pair of cats ( not kittens). I have conflicting emotions. I suppose that's normal. Losing two in one year to the same disease just has me somewhat concerned. I know I'll be hypervigilant when we do get them. We plan on adopting through the same organization and that's also freaking me out, like it's bad luck or something.

I'm being silly and I know that logically but my right brain seems to be overruling the left.

First of I'm so sorry for the loss of your cats. It sounds so traumatic especially losing Wills so quickly. I completely understand why you would be having anxiety around adopting these two. You know that you will be faced with opening your heart, which has been bruised and traumatized by loss, to two new souls who need your love. That's understandably scary. Someone once told me that fear is not rational there's no way to be objective when you are feeling fearful. Your mind is going to try to throw every roadblock and excuse there is in order to protect you from feeling the pain of a loss like you have.
Only you will know if you are ready but I'd like to think that your two Rainbow angels brought these two kitties to you and your husband because they knew you all needed each other.

I hope you keep us posted on what you decide to do[emoji]10084[/emoji]️
