I'm in desperate need of help!!! My boy is appears VERY sick!

He is drooling excessively and has a very low meow. Over the years he has accumulated brownish spots on his lower lip & nose. They have recently gotten worse. I've tried to wipe his mouth, but his saliva is sticky?? It's weird in my opinion..

Any advice anyone?? I've got him an appt Tues AM. I'm just so worried about him.....
Thanks in advance. (Sry if I've made a mess w/ this post)

If he's acting totally different, I would take him to the vet NOW. Do you have plants inside? Could he have eaten a piece? A LOT of plants are toxic to cats & they start drooling & getting lethargic if they eat some. Don't fool around with something like that, usually the earlier you get him in the more likely the vet can help.

If you don't have any plants, he definitely sounds sick. Cats don't meow like that unless they're in distress.

No, we don't have any plants at all. He's 100% indoor, so I know he didn't get into anything outside. Last night we had a special family prayer session over him. He instantly got some better. Today, he's even better! Drilling is almost gone, he's coming around (once I get home from work), eating some, drinking normal, no abdominal cramps, he's gagged once, meowing is still fairly low and he's finally purring again!!
I'm going to try and change his appt to tomorrow, if I can get off work. Otherwise, I'm drill taking him in on Tues. Thank you for your help msserena

Could it possibly be infection in his mouth like bad teeth! Cats who have bad teeth will drool and not eat well.

Update: thanks ya'll! For the helpful tips, hints, questions, cares, etc. Dr. Smith said he probably ate something that didn't agree with him. The day before we get to the Dr, he ate a LOT of moist canned food. Then he threw it all back up on Mommy's bed (go figure, lol) He's all better now!

Note: couldn't find any sort of object in the ABC food that could've gotten lodged in his throat. Which is what I figured has happened.

Blessings all!!
