Crazy kitten

I have had lots of kittens introduced to adult cats. It usually takes about 3 weeks for them to adapt to each other. I have had my kitten, now over four weeks but my adult cat hates him. Any ideas??:wife:

A kitten will be very annoying to an adult cat, that is why I always suggest getting two to play with each other so they leave the oldster alone. Make sure your older one has a place to escape to, usually high up, so he can defend it against invasions. Feed them close together so they have good feelings, and play with them both with a wand, or at least the kitten to tire him out ,with the older one watching. The kitten needs big time play time with several toys to keep him occupied. As long as the aggression is confined to hissing and growling you should be alright, If blood is drawn that is a different story and they should be separated and reintroduced. 4 weeks is not long at all in cat time, so time is on your side, it WILL happen, it is just taking longer, or until the kitten outgrows his need to pounce on everything that moves. The older cat needs lots of love and attention right now too, after all it is HIS space that has been invaded. Try to stroke them both while they are close together to get those good feelings going again.  Good luck!

Tried everything but he is so disobedient......never known a kitten like it! I have bought up 6 over the years but never one like this. I have tried firm voices, water spray etc but still he defies me! The other big cat is fed up with him. Then he comes to sit next to me and licks my hand and all is forgotten ha! :nod:
