Hello,

I just joined in the last hour and I have a young cat who has been sneezing a lot and she has blood every time she sneezes. She also sneezes green mucus and it always has blood. The vet said she doesn't have a cold. What could it be?

Green mucus indicates an infection, and blood in the mucus is also serious, indicating her nasal passages are either very irritated or bleeding somewhere.

I would take her to another vet, ASAP,  for a second opinion, and for a 'Culture and Sensitivity' test on the mucus discharge.

If you do trust the original vet, then they could do the test, but it is very strange that they did not recommend it, to begin with.

They could have also looked at the discharge under a microscope.

I'm surprised your vet did not make any other suggestions.

If you can, also take some video, on your phone/camera, to show the new vet, so that they can see how often she sneezes and what the mucus looks like.

Good Luck.
