Hi guys
I was wondering if I could feed Whiskas 2-12 month old kittens to my little cat. She is eating dry weaning food, we are not sure about her age she could be older but was found on a dumpster and is malnourished.

Let me know if I can, your opinion and if you know how much.

hanapty,

If your little kitty is malnourished, she proably needs to be fatten up. You can feed her KMR milk replacer and get her wet canned food meant for growing kittens. She needs to pack those protiens in.
Kittens eat a lot, in order to grow, so feed her several times a day. Just monitor how much she eats each time and if she ask for more after a feed, give her more and that will be the amount to be fed each time.
In between feed her the KMR milk or you can mix it up with the wet food.

Thanks Tabby
I will try to find that milk here in Panama.
She does indeed eat a lot. I have left a bowl of dry food since I got her and she eats everytime she wants to.

I tried giving lactose free milk but she doesnt seem to want to drink anything else but water

If you can't find KMR in your country, you can buy online. If not, just get wet food for growing kittens and feed her till she's a year old. Some wet canned food are for growing kittens to adults.

Try not to free feed her, give her a routine feed and I'd skip dry food which is full of carbs and it can cause UTI if your kitty does not have enough to drink. Cats need protiens and not carbs.

I never feed my boy dry food and he is on a routined feed.

Also get her spayed when she reaches the right age. Here's an article on spaying :-
