So I just got this new kitten and it's our first night at my house. I can't find her. I woke up in the middle of the night (it's 2:30 in the morning now) and I couldn't find her anywhere. I have torn apart my room searching and I still can't find her. I don't know what to do. She has to be in here somewhere, I just don't know where.

Did you find her?  Cats are GOOD at hiding!  One of my girls is "shadow gray" and she has a new spot (after living here for 7 years) that I haven't been able to figure out!

I agree with putting food out. Canned food is so nice and smelly it might help draw the kitten out.  One of my girls loves the jars of meat baby food.  (Like Turkey and Gravy or Chicken and Gravy; but if you try that be sure it does not have onion/garlic in it!!)  I discovered that when my oldest child was a baby and refused to eat the stuff but the cat was acting like she was famished.

Inside the boxspring is a common kitty hiding place. They can wiggle through a very small hole in the cloth so it might not be obvious. Or, yeah, under/inside the dresser---most dressers are made in a way that if she can get under, she can climb up into the drawers. But I'm sure she's made an appearance by now :D.

I'm sure she's popped up, but cats are ninjas.  If they don't want to be found, they won't be found.  A week or so ago, I couldn't find Connor anywhere.  I was panicking, wondering if maybe he'd managed to sneak out when my boyfriend went out to smoke.  He kept promising that he hadn't, but I know how sneaky cats can be!  Anyway, John talked me into going ahead and going to Wal*Mart like we'd planned and if we still couldn't find him when we got home, he'd help me comb the neighborhood.  We got home and he was sound asleep on our bed.
