Hey guys!!!

So this is pretty urgent. We've had a cat visit us every day and night for the past few weeks.. dad is often smoking outside so he's been feeding it and it's been very friendly and affectionate towards us. We're quite attatches to it now. We are still yet to take it to the vet to check if it's micro chipped.

ANYWAY! She was making lots of noise Saturday morning wanting to come in the house but I thought she was looking for our budgies. Now I know it's because she wanted to give birth!!!! I have now found her in my neighbours leafy garden with one kitten.

What should I do? We've fed it. Given it water .. it seems to be comfortable there.. I was hoping it would come out so we could bring her in to a shadier place in our home but she didn't want to move.

Can you get mom and babies out of the bushes and bring them inside? Bring a box with you.

We tried but she didn't move.. she seems really comfortable there.. she was making little noises. Couldn't tell if she was in pain or wanted us to go away.
I brought the box and the blanket she sleeps on outside, still didn't want to move

That's a great photo.  Are you able to touch the kittens without her getting upset?  If so, I would put the kittens in the box and then mom should follow you inside.

One? I would look around the bush because they typically don't just have one kid

Mom is probably still laboring, but you really need to bring her and the kitten(s) inside your home. Put them in a crate and get them into a private area of your home. Put mom's food, water, and litter nearby. A bedroom is best. They will all be safer and better off.

Keep us posted!

Good job!!  How many kittens are there?  Are you sure you got them all?

Can you set mom up like @sarthur2  described with nest, food, water, litter?

I'm wondering if she's still laboring? The purring is to comfort herself. She may delay labor until she feels settled enough to give birth again.

Are there anymore kittens yet, or does she still appear pregnant?

Thank you for bringing her in! [emoji]128522[/emoji]

Make sure you keep her 100% inside until the litter is weaned. She can get pregnant again within a week of delivery.

Thank you for helping her!

I can't really tell :( she wasn't very big before labour hence why we didn't prepare for it. When she was visiting she was already quite slim...we've kept her indoors but she's been acting strange.. wondering in and out of the home. I've brought her in my room and she's made herself settles in a corner with the one kitten. She kept wanting to go outside tonight so we let her, it's like she wants me to go back to where I found her but not sure. It's either that or she wants to find mice or geckos (usually what she seems to eat if she doesn't like the food we're giving her) .. I'm just so worried that there's more at the neighbours house!! [emoji]128557[/emoji] I'm hoping she hasn't given birth to any more just yet. I can't imagine what would happen to those kittens out There [emoji]128557[/emoji][emoji]128557[/emoji][emoji]128557[/emoji]

Go have a look to make sure you haven't missed anything at the neighbor's. I would not let her out though. If she wasn't very big, this one may be it. She should settle down soon though.

Yes, I would definitely walk around the area again, look everywhere, even a little ways away in places you might not think a kitten would be. You don't want to leave any outside!
