Hello guys!!
I became a cat owner 2 days ago for the first time. We have always had dogs but we had to give ours away because she was very aggressive to strangers. Very sad...

I cat sitted no long ago and got really attracted to cats so I decided to have this one.

I live with my mom and she misses our former doggy so we might get one soon. I know I need to socialize the cat, Lily with the him.

So, I took her to the ver, she has lots of parasites and is now under treatment
I have her in the bathroom and she seems to be coping well. Doctor said she is very energectic and has a lot of hair for the amount of parasites so she might be 4-5 weeks old

She is eating royal canin weaning food because she already has teeth and she is eating and drinking water. So far so good

Only problem: litter training. I bought Cats pride ... can I have some tips for training?
I am attaching a picture so you can see how cute she is [emoji]128568[/emoji]

Pleasee let me know your thoughts on litter train and anything about parasites also any tips on giving her medicines I have to crush a pill and she doesnt seem to love yogurt

Poor little thing!  What happened to her mother?

Using the litter box is instinctual for most cats.  You can put her in it before and after meals and dig with her front paws to demonstrate.

Get her lots of toys - especially chewing toys for when she's teething.  And a scratching post.

Don't be surprised if she doesn't seem to like catnip.  Most cats don't react to catnip until they hit puberty.

Thanks alicia
Her mom left the litter in a dumpster outside the school I work at! [emoji]128575[/emoji]
I noticed the catnip thing bc I got a cardboard thing for her to scratch and she is not attracted at all
When I'm with her I notice she cries and then squats so I move her to the box for her to finish
She peed there once yesterday I think she stood to pee is that normal??

My boys squat but I've seen some very young kittens standing.  What happened to the other kittens?  Are they ok?

You should not be giving pills to a kitten this young. The kitten can choke. The vet needs to give you liquid medicine for parasites. Please call the vet office about this.

What medicine were you given?

Ah, okay. I see that you are in Panama. Be very careful with the tablets. It must be very finely crushed and mixed into water or milk, then given with a needleless syringe or dropper.

Great tip
I was trying to mix with yogurt but she doesnt love it
She seems to be getting the hand of the litter box she peed in the middle but doest not cover it yet

How long should it take for her to cover her stuff??

Yes there are lots of options in Panama but I'm guessing no liquid of this medicine

Thanks you all!!

She will learn to cover as she gets bigger. When she is in the litter box, take her little paw and show her how to "dig". She will catch on.

Ok I will work on that
She bites, I am not sure if it's normal in kitties, I am guesing it is because she is a baby. Any tips on how to train her not to do that without scaring her??
She seems to be having lots of fun

Totally normal for kitties to bite.  Connor and Murphy are 7 months and still do on occasion.  I say "No" very firmly and remove my hand and ignore them for a while.  They nuzzle me and purr like they're apologizing and we go back to playing.
