Hi, this is my first post & i was curious to know if my kittens size is normal. When i adopted him he was only 8 weeks old, hes neutered has all of his shots & has been dewormed. When i first got him he was very small but his hair was really long so he looked like a little furball. But over the past few months hes been growing rapidly. Right now hes about 5 months and when i just recently weighed him he wieghed 7.8 pounds! I have another kitten who is female, she is only 10 days younger than him but she wieghs less than 4 pounds. The thing that confuses me is that my younger kitten eats more than him lmao! Hes pretty hefty but very long so he really doesnt look that fat. Ive been doing some research and believe he could be part maine coon, he has all the traits. He makes some really weird exotic noises , like something youd hear from a jungle cat. His behavior is also really weird, he acts like a dog. He comes when you call him, he retrieves balls, runs to the front door when someone knocks, he cant jump ontop of high surfaces like my other kitten can & he love belly rubs, he'll cry until someone rubs his belly. He'll lay on his back forever while you rub his belly LOL ive honestly never seen a cat like this , hes the greatest thing ever and im very glad i adopted him. But please let me know if you have ever seen a cat like this before, is it normal? Is he part maine coon or some other breed? Or is he just a fat ass??
