New here so apologies if i do something wrong- but my old (13ish) indoor/outdoor cat has been having skin problems for a year or so (scabs around ears, neck & chest) clumps of hair will come out with the scabs but she doesnt seem to itch them. More recently her eyes have had a very dark red/black crusty goop, and her paw pads have all peeled and had a black crust around the edges, with one having greenish yellow patches in the pad. Whenever we bring her to the vets they never have any idea about what it could be a result of, should i just leave it and stop worrying as it doesnt seem to bug her much?

You might try a different vet.  This really sounds like a chronic infection of some type.  Have they done scrapings?  If you can get hold of some echinacea, you can make a tea, cool it, and dab it on the icky spots.  That might help.  Unfortunately, Aloe vera is HIGHLY TOXIC to cats.

I also think you should seek the counsel of a different vet and ask for them to culture the skin and see if that test shows anything.

I would try a different vet.  Second opinions never hurt, and he may spot something that the first one didn't, if only because it wasn't fully developed.
