I'm not only new to The Cat Site....I'm new to forums....so if I didn't post correctly, please forgive me! I tend to several feral cats in our neck of the woods in Van Nuys, CA. For some reason, this area is overrun with feral cats. In August a very emaciated feral cat wandered into our backyard and I started feeding her. 2 months later she had a litter of 6 beautiful kittens. I've captured all of them now and I'm socializing them for adoption. My husband and I are amazed that no one wants kittens! We've called all the cat havens, contacted Fixation, printed our very expensive flyers introducing our kittens --I only got one call and that was to say "sorry can't adopt!" Right now, I'm dealing with the 6th kitten --I caught him late and he's as wily and wild as they come....I'd caught him early, then he got away....so he's really scared of me....if anyone has any idea how to get him "up to speed" socially so that I can adopt him out too...please, please share! Also, the mama is just so distressed that her babies aren't with her -- I let her sit next to the cage and of course I talk to her and feed her....but if you can suggest anything more I can do for her to ease her angst --great! Anyway, thank you all for everything you do. I know how much time, energy, $$ and love it takes and I am grateful to all of you.
