Hi everyone I'm new to this but I need help I already have 2 cats a boy and girl and both have been done so please don't judge me. I took in a cat a few weeks back off a lady who wasn't treating it right but I think she is pregnant since having her I have noticed her belly gettin bigger her nipples are quite pink but they are not swollen or nothing. She is sleeping a lot but she lies on her belly and I thought pregnant cats lie on there sides I will upload picture of her soon can anyone give me some advice?

Thank you for taking her in and giving her a nice home! [emoji]128522[/emoji]

She does sound pregnant, and you should prepare for kittens. Feed mom as much wet and dry food as she wants to support the pregnancy.

Here are some articles to help you:

Continue to ask your questions on this thread. Mama cat can be spayed when the kittens are 8 weeks old.

We look forward to pictures! [emoji]128571[/emoji]

Thank you for reply I'm pretty sure she is pregnant but again her nipple don't seem swollen just pink is this normal? Also the poor little thing is only 8 1/2 months old is that going to cause her any problems as I've read that she could struggle? X

It's sad that she is pregnant so young. It can be hard on kittens to have kittens, but hopefully she will manage okay. Most do, though it is far from ideal. An excellent diet will help her.

Nipples are pink, but the mammaries do not usually fill with milk until just before or just after delivery, so that should not be an issue.

Mom can be spayed when the kittens are 8 weeks old.

Have you seen or felt kitten movement yet? Once you do, there is usually 2-3 weeks of pregnancy left.

Can you please post a picture of her so I can see the size of her tummy?

What do you think? I think I felt kittens the other day but she doesn't really like me touching her belly but she is very affectionate and sleeps on my shoulder all the time

She's so cute with the bow around her mouth! [emoji]128571[/emoji]

Definitely pregnant! For now, just assume at least 2 more weeks. She's fluffy so it will be harder to spot kitten movement. Hang in there! [emoji]128522[/emoji]

She is very fluffy so i don't see much at all she's a little cutie! So you would say She maybe has around 2 weeks left? I have tried putting the bottom of a cat carrier in a big cupboard I have but she just won't go into it

HI sarthur2 just wanted abit of advice about my little girl, After her not letting me touch her belly over the last few weeks she has eventually let me have a feel (very gently) and I can feel lumps in her stomach but no movements? and over the last 2 days her back nipples closer to the tail have started to sag to a point I can feel it (can't see as she is very very fluffy) also I seen some mucus on my floor 3 days ago that I can only describe as looking like snot I not sure if it's from her or not, but she shows no signs I'm soooo confused with her lol please help

Sounds like she's nearing labour to me, and that she has just lost her mucus plug. Could be wrong, but my aunt breeds orientals and have been around for many of the births. Normally a loss of mucus plug means labour could start tonight. Has she been nesting at all?

OK. Is it like a green kind of colour? One of my aunts cats used to get a green mucus a few days before birth. Apparently it's not very common but it could be that. Watch out for a high temperature, as one could have died inside her and has caused an infection. It's probably not that, but just keep an eye on her. Get a thermometer and take her temperature when you can. :)
