Paws Pet Foods

"Paws" is now owned by Simmons Pet Food Company, the company that  recently bought "Menu" pet food, the company responsible for thousands of pet deaths about 10 years ago.... have they really cleaned up their act?  Who is responsible for checking?  

My cats love this food almost as much as Fancy Feast... but how do we really know it's safe????

Everybody is being bought up by the big companies.  Soon (IMHO) there will be just one of two companies owning all the pet food labels, so what are you gonna do?  Either trust them as much as you can, or make your own.  I  tried making my own, but didn't even trust MYSELF to get it right even though we have a great thread on what to do:  http://www.thecatsite.com/t/263955/helpful-resources-raw-home-cooked-cat-food-forum and http://www.thecatsite.com/t/264153/home-cooked-cat-food-resources

You don't. It's the reason many of us feed raw, because don't trust Big Pet Food.
