My cat has already given birth to 3 kittens, but i can still feel more inside her. Its been about an hour since she had the last one and contractions have stopped. I can't get her to a vet because theyre closed.. what do i do!?!?

Your cat is fine. If she is not in distress, then she will deliver when she is ready. She also may just be lumpy from carrying the babies and will return to her normal shape.

Second, I see from your post history that your cat had a litter in July. You need to help mom with nutrition since she's been depleted. Offer her constant access to dry kitten food and meals of wet kitten food several times each day. She should also have a bowl of kmr each day.

Ive been feeding her kitten food since before her last pregnancy thats all she eats. So i shouldn't have to worry right? Kinda just let her do her own thing if there are still more in there?

That's right. Are you planning to have her spayed?

Your male needs to be kept completely separate from your female until a month after his surgery. She can get pregnant within a week of delivery and without going into heat. He will still be fertile for a month after his procedure.

Do you plan to spay your female too? She will be much happier and healthier.

Im keeping my male completely separate from her until hes been neutered. And i most likely will, but i was told by a friend i had to wait until the kittens were weened off completely to spay her.

Also mom finally had all her kittens

If she isnt in distress, you can calmly watch and see yes.    But as her calcium levels are probably lowish - although the kitten food, be sure you give her calcium - asap, I mean NOW.   Too little calcium tends to weak up the labor.

The easiest and quickest is to crush shell of an egg into fine powder, and sprinkle it on her food alike it were salt.   The shell is build up of mainly calcium...

Later on you can give her some goats milk, plain full fat yoguhurt, cheese or even kmr, as extra nourishing addition...

Good luck!

Wonderful mom seems to be done now.  Still, the advice on the calcium is essentially the same, even if its not the same hurry.

Yes, its usually best to wait with the spaying of the mom untill the kittens are weaned, unless its crash emergency.

Observe, the male, if he is friend with momma - Im rather sure he is - he is no threat to the kittens - so if momma wants him near, that is not the main cause behind this separation.

Its the risk of new pregnancy which is the main cause for recommending separation.  You dont want to have a third litter in short time on her.

How many kittens are there now? Are they all nursing well?

We'd love to see pictures! [emoji]128522[/emoji]
