I found a kitten outside and found a warmble in his neck. I have no money but I took him to the vet anyways. I couldn't afford anything they could offer. I live out of town , I asked if I could leave him with them at the vet and they said he would be put down. So I took him home and extracted the larva my self. Everything went very smoothly. The larva came out whole with no puncture wounds. I cleaned the wound now there is a pale skin like scab forming I think but I have no idea. Please if anyone can help I won't be sleeping [emoji]9785[/emoji]️️

See this for how to afford vet care: http://www.thecatsite.com/a/no-money-for-vet-care-how-to-find-help-and-save-your-cats-life Low cost vet clinics are typicaly more affordable than a regular vet office / hospital. The Banfield chain (at Petsmart stores) offers a free first exam (listen to heart and lungs, general check of body)  but then charges you $$$ for anything more your pet needs.

The kitten may still have worms and larvae inside the body. Only a proper dewormer treatment will fully remove the worms. Did the vet tell you want kind of worm the kitten has?

If finding the kitten was completely unexpected and you really don't have the means to provide it care, then it would be best to bring the kitten to a rescue or shelter. Kittens are very adoptable so there's a good chance the kitten will find a home after any current health issues are addressed.

I've been to the only two shelters here and they said if the cat is not healthy they will put him down. It was A warmble worm and I know it was the only one it was in his neck. I'm not going to not care for this animal. I am a student and have no means of money.
