NOTE:  Being a rescue, I am feeding between 15 and 20 cats a month on the average, and some very young cats and some very old cats.  Here are the foods I buy:

Wet first:   Friskies Poultry Platter Pate (80 cents for 13oz can), 4Health Grain-Free Turkey & Giblets (69 cents for 5.5 oz can); Sheba Pate: Chicken, Beef (50 cents for 3 oz cans), Abound Grain-Free Turkey & Giblets (69 cents for 5.5 oz. can when on sale, otherwise 79 cents); Beech Nut Baby Food Turkey, Chicken, Beef ($1.00 per 2.5 oz. jar) - I buy these weekly

Dry only for Snacks/Dessert:  Iams Healthy Adult Original (Chicken) - $29.97 for a 22 lb. bag - lasts one month

Two of the cats are not allowed any dry food at all, one because she used to have chronic idiopathic cystitis (now totally controlled with high protein low carbohydrate wet food diet) and the other because she has a tendency to be overweight and dry food is too high calorie for her.  She maintains perfect weight on the high protein low carbohydrate wet food diet.

Wet food, about 3 ozs per cat, once a day - Fancy Feast Classics (pate style).
Also, Iams Beef or Chicken pate, Friskies Poultry Platter, have tried alot of high quality wet food trying to improve their diet. They turn their nose up & walk away.

Dry -always available, Diamond Active Cat formula. It is mid range on quality scale and everyone LIKES it. So hopefully I won't have to hop brands trying to find one they all like. [emoji]128530[/emoji]

I feed my cats two meals a day of Fancy Feast Classic and one meal of dry Beyond. I mix water into the wet food as one has had urinary crystals.

Currently Nutro kitten for wet food, and Whole Earth Farms kitten for dry food. Once I switch to adult food in a few weeks I will be incorporating more variety

I feed different colonies plus pet kitties, so here goes:

"Field ferals" get Cat&Co Kitten kibble plus a can of Cat&Co mixed grill;

My "yard colony" gets Purina Naturals Original kibble plus Cat&Co mixed grill and 9Lives assorted canned foods and boiled chicken and baked pork roast as goodies.

The kittens (former ferals) get Grandma's Dinner chicken kibble plus Sheba and Purina ONE wet food with boiled chicken as snacks.

Our 18 year old Princess eats only canned: Sheba perfect portions blended with Iams Veterinary Formula Intestinal Plus.

Our 3yo "princess" gets Purina ONE grain free kibble and Rachel Ray grain-free Delish canned or Purely FancyFeast white chicken entree .
