Hi everyone! I have a ten week old kitten and shes been with me for about 3 days now. Unfortunately it doesnt seem like she knows what on earth a litter box is and is defactating and urinating almost everywhere. I have purchased the cat attract litter and she is not even interested in the slightest. I have two boxes located in different parts of the house away from her food. How long does it normally take for a cat to adjust(if this is the problem) and use the litter? Also, how long does it take for Cat Atttact to work?

Thanks!!

Have you tried putting a bit of the kitten's poo in the litter box? And any time you catch the kitten going elsewhere, you can put it in the box. Litter training takes some time if momma kitty didn't teach them.

You may need to confine the kitten to one room, with her food, water, and litter box right there in the same room, until she learns. It's not unusual for kittens this age to have accidents if the box is not right nearby. Being in a new environment takes some time to adjust to as well.

My cats learned right away thank goodness. What I would do is put them in the box constantly also as Hatchytt said putting some of the baby kittys poop in the box will attract her right away. Good luck by the way kittens are a handful my kittys 5 months old and still so hyper. I love it.
