My cat had 2 kittens 11 hours ago, I was very surprised that there was only 2 because her belly was much bigger than in her last pregnancy (she had 3, bigger kittens last pregnancy) and they are also very small. She isn't having contractions any more and doesn't seem to be in pain. She is eating and drinking well. Her belly still kind of looks big but not sure. Is it likely that she will have more kittens or is she done?

It's difficult to say, as cats can sometimes have kittens several days apart. Sometimes cats still appear pregnant because their uterus is swollen, or because they've put on weight.

It's best to wait and see as long as your cat is not in any distress.

Are the kittens nursing well?

I had the same problem just a few days back. Like sarthur2 said some cats take breaks for a while before having the others. My cat looked huge but only had three small babys it was her second litter so I was surprised when I took her to get an X-ray and she had no more baby's. Just wait a few days if she's eating, drinking, and using the bathroom okay she should be okay. She might also bleed a bit mines still is and it's normal. Good luck

She had difficulties pushing out the first one which also was a surprise to me because it is so small, and the second one came out not moving, the mum cat wouldn't even lick him or chew the umbilicle cord. I had to 'bring him back to life'. After he started moving she started looking after him. Now they are both nursing well.

Ah, good news on both nursing! Thankfully you were there to help.

Do you plan to spay your cat following this litter?

I know this thread is old but the same thing is happening to me. My cat gave birth to 4 kitties but she still looks a little bloated. I can't tell if there is any more coming or not. The 4 are all nursing well and Mama is very calm

Its the same answer. :)
My guess is she is done, but is still bloated with swollen uterus. This is common.
You will see for sure in a couple of days.
If she and the kittens are OK, no visible troubles, its not dangerous to wait and see.

If you wish to get more help than this exact question, please start your own thread. It will be easier to get help on further questions reports etc, than kidnapping this thread specializing on such "is she done now?"
