Until recently we were strictly a dog household with an 11 year old chihuahua named Taco and a 4 year old pitbull named Lola.  A couple of weeks ago, my daughter came home with a "stray kitten" that she "found" in a shopping center parking lot.  She was afraid her daddy would be mad at her if she told him that she actually picked her out of a box from a litter someone was giving away, so she fibbed a little.  I ended up outing her by accident because I couldn't get over how healthy and clean she was for a stray and honestly, my daughter is a horrible liar, so she spilled the beans on herself.

That was a couple of weeks ago, and we already cannot imagine our home without the sweet, spastic, loving, playful, semi-psychotic attack kitten that we call Punkin.

Oh my!  Congrats on joining the cat loving world!  You are in for a ton of love and furry antics!

She is beautiful.  I see Lola is checking out her kitty sister.  My cat and my old dog were best friends until my dog passed away at the ripe old age of 23.

Please keep us updated with pics as she grows and bonds!

Lola is still not really sure what to think of her.  I was honestly a bit worried at first because Lola will chase anything that runs from her, but so far there haven't been any issues.  We still don't leave them alone unsupervised just to be on the safe side, but I have high hopes they're going to end up being buddies!

Give them time....if she isn't seeing her as prey to chase so far, you've got a good shot of them being best buddies very soon!  I think you would have seen prey-chasing activity by now if you were going to.  I definitely wouldn't leave them unsupervised if Lola hasn't been around cats before.  Hopefully she will accept her as a family member!
