Some days it doesn't pay to get out of bed. Rick was halfway to work when he realized he forgot his phone. Turned around and came back home for said phone. Then he texted me to tell me that the outside shed lights were still on and would I turn them off.

Did my chores. Got ready to leave to run some errands. Out to my car and.....iPod is not working again.
That lasted all of.....one day (Friday).

Finally got to Sears to pay the treadmill off. I brought my account number and a recent statement. That did not show the current balance because we had paid on it the other night. "We're sorry, but you're going to have to call the number because we don't know what your balance is." I thought that's what computers were for, but OK. Went out to my car and called the main office. They don't have a current balance because the payment we made last Wednesday night didn't show up yet. So I subtracted the payment from the balance that I had and paid that. Hopefully it's OK.

Went to Target, thinking I could pick up the meds. Not without the proper card, which is in Rick's wallet.

Went to the liquor store for bourbon and vodka for my vanilla. Got lemon-flavored Grey Goose vodka instead of the regular stuff and didn't notice until I got home. Jackie was ballistic when I got home. In the bay window, screaming her fool head off. Hauled her butt out of the window, slammed her into her bed, and she finally shut up. Back to the liquor store. Got the right vodka and came back home. Dealt with the idiot dog again.

Emailed two more beagles rescues, asking for help.

Talked to Rick about the iPod; he told me to run down to the car dealership to see if they could help me out. Needed an appt, so I'm taking the car down Sunday night for Monday. (To be fair, one of the guys worked with me for about 30 minutes in the parking lot; he has no idea what's wrong and is wondering if it's the actual connector in the car that went bad. He also said that, regardless of what the bloody Hyundai manual says, an Apple connector should work fine. And it did....for four years.)

Came back home and dealt with the idiot dog again. It's good I am not a drinking woman. I'd be an alcoholic by now.

Now I can go get the kitty blankets and stuff out of the dryer that I put in this morning and never got around to folding.

When Dear Richard comes home, we still have to go for groceries and pick up the meds that I couldn't get earlier today. And then we'll have to deal with the idiot dog again. Evidently, she got used to the Prozac. I swear I am going to drug her into a bloody stupor.

I didn't get anything done that I really wanted to do.

Maybe I should go back to bed.

Pam, you have made me burst out laughing which is saying something as husband screamed at me when I got home after a cruddy morning spent at FedEx copying financials for our divorce. Thank you for cheering me up though I know that wasn't the intent of your thread.

Good! It was (kind of) supposed to be funny in a way. Although living through it today wasn't humorous at the time.
