After losing my bottle baby Odin earlier in the week I went searching for a new baby to adopt. I did not want another bottle baby right now and after traveling to a few shelters over the course of this weekend we have just begun fostering a kitten we will later adopt if he does make it. The shelter said he was 4 weeks old, however I believe he is closer to 5 or 6 weeks old. He's calm but has his playful burst before snuggleing in for a nice nap. He is sleeping a lot. He is No Name right now but looks healthy, he does have diarrhea so we're going to give him a few drops of pedyalite?(spelling) today and run him to our vet tomorrow. I'm hoping he helps me get over my little man passing so I just wanted to introduce him and get advice on his age? Mine passed right before he made 4 weeks so I'm kind of lost on how to take care of this guy. The shelter gave us some wet food and he is eating that but I don't know how much or how often? He was brought in with two sisters but not feral so prob nursed from mom and moms owner brought them in. He tries to drink water but is still learning and he is successfully using the litter box (non clumping) for both pee & poos. How often and how much he should be using the litter would be helpful, the bottle baby was constipated that's why the vet had to put him down, we tried for a week to regulate him:/ so I want to keep an eye on him as well. Thanks y'all this site helped me and Odin a lot && I know y'all will help me with little No Name

You can use a make-up sponge for him to suckle from, it makes it easier to give fluids to him, both pedialyte, water, goats milk or kmr...

You held a dropper in the other hand and drop more of the fluid as he is suckling the sponge dry.

I would think the shelter would of recommended bottle feeding kitten milk if he is as young as he say not wet food especially since you say he's having trouble.bottle feed every couple hours. You shouldn't have trouble with survival.

Feed the little guy wet food every 2 hours for now. Vet may put him on meds tomorrow for diarrhea. I hope he makes it. He looks healthy in the pictures!
