Double canines - not baby teeth?

My new cat is around 4 1/2 months old. She lost her baby canines a few weeks ago. I remember them being loose and then disappearing over the course of a week or two.

Now she has 4 canine teeth. 2 on each side. I tried to get a picture but... You can imagine how that went trying to keep her still and lift her lip with one hand and take a picture with the other...

She is getting spayed in a few days so I plan on asking the vet then but I was wondering if this was something problematic.

The cat seems perfectly fine and I assure you her appetite is fine.

This is not at all uncommon when cats are getting their adult teeth.  The baby teeth canines should eventually fall out and there will be no problems.  I've seen this a lot and it never became a permanent condition, nor did anyone have to remove the baby tooth.

She lost her baby teeth before the adult teeth came in. She has what seems to be 2 adult top canine teeth on each side.

I posted the question here because I kept searching and all I could find was information about cats not losing their baby teeth - but she did lose them. So I thought "oh here is a forum maybe someone can help" so I made sure I was very clear that she did lose the baby teeth when I posted. The only answer I got was about a cat not losing their baby teeth anyway.

So... Thanks?

The vet removed her extra adult canines during her spay today just to be safe. She really did have extra teeth. So...that.
