PLEASE HELP!!!! Please can someone help me I have a 3 month old kitten I've had her for about 1 month now, before I got her she was living in a back garden riddled with fleas but since she came to us she came out of her shell and her and my dogs are always playing together (she's usually a normal kitten) but since this morning she has been completely lifeless she isn't eating much and she's usually greedy, she has been asleep all day she seems scared and she keeps growling at me when I try to touch her! Does anyone know why this could be please? As I didn't actually take her to the vets for a check up when I got her because when we got rid of fleas she was a normal kitten and now I'm really worried! I repeat she has been completely fine until this morning and this is the first time I've seen this happen, not really sure what to do! HELP PLEASE!

Here's my advice for you. Get her to a vet. 2nd, feel her ears and her gums. If they feel warm, or cool she shouldn't have a fever but if they feel above warm, she's probably running a fever. You can check her temp yourself using a thermometer at home. It's best to check by anal for best results. You could use some petroleum jelly on the tip and only insert the thermometers tip in careful not to go too far. Go slowly and talk to her so she doesn't get scared. You may need help with someone else holding her and petting her to keep her calm. Wait until it beeps and see where it is at. A normal temp is 100-102.5. Sometimes if the cat is feeling stressed it'll go to 103. But anything higher is a fever and needs to be addressed by a vet immediately. If it is above 105 she needs to be seen asap and you should take action. You can use cat food broth slightly heated to encourage her to eat. If she isn't eating by tomorrow I would get her to a vet to see what's going on. Best of luck to you. I pray she's alright and you don't have to go through the situation I'm going through.

Hi @kelsielouise123  Welcome to The Cat Site.

It sounds like she could be in pain. I think you need to get her to the vet as soon as you can.

Please keep us posted on how things turn out.
