I adopted a new kitty :) Her name is Autumn and she is 12 years old.

Apparently she was originally with a family for those years before they tossed her out - they didn't want her anymore. So she was on the streets for a bit. It was an acquaintance of mine (who had known the family) who began feeding her at her house. Couldn't take her inside for long, wasn't getting along with her current cat, but was otherwise worried about her - especially with winter coming up.

So I took her in!

After the usual initial transition/introduction phase, she seems content, is getting along fine with my other two kitties Morgana and Camelot (Camelot seems quite smitten in particular) and Maisie the dog. Seems to be pleased about being indoors again without worrying and having access to plenty of tasty food.

Here she is, my new Tortie:

While having a gentle and affectionate side, she is also a diva with an attitude
( Quelle suprise!) which I am all for. And love her neat little face.

Beautiful girl!  Thank you for doing this!  Wonderful that she is doing so well with the transition too.

It breaks my heart when people throw an animal out like that.  I just can't understand that mindset.

Thanks in return! Definitely hoping to provide her with a great life in her upcoming golden years at least. She is becoming more and more relaxed and comfy.

I know right? It is absolutely baffling and upsetting on so many levels!

@Cassiopea  God bless you for doing this
She is BEAUTIFUL! I wish all the abandoned pets could have her luck! She's going to live the rest of her life with dignity and love and that's all that matters!

Yes thank you for grabbing her. 12 that is so cool, I would love to adopt an older cat. She is gorgeous! I'm sure she's going to be MUCH happier there then where she was

She is certainly a joy to have
Older cats do make nice companions!

And thanks everyone for the compliments, I am sure she appreciates it!

Thank you! Penny sounds delightful! Wishing her all the best

Autumn kind of sounds like a demanding lamb when she meows - totally awesome
