I adopted a new kitty Her name is Autumn and she is 12 years old.
Apparently she was originally with a family for those years before they tossed her out - they didn't want her anymore. So she was on the streets for a bit. It was an acquaintance of mine (who had known the family) who began feeding her at her house. Couldn't take her inside for long, wasn't getting along with her current cat, but was otherwise worried about her - especially with winter coming up.
So I took her in!
After the usual initial transition/introduction phase, she seems content, is getting along fine with my other two kitties Morgana and Camelot (Camelot seems quite smitten in particular) and Maisie the dog. Seems to be pleased about being indoors again without worrying and having access to plenty of tasty food.
Here she is, my new Tortie:
While having a gentle and affectionate side, she is also a diva with an attitude
( Quelle suprise!) which I am all for. And love her neat little face.
