Good morning! And Happy Friday!
I get a long weekend because I'm off work Monday for the Columbus Day holiday.

Easy question: With Halloween right around the corner, what kind of candy will be in your Trick or Treat bowls this year?

We never get any Halloweeners anymore. It's been years since anybody has been to our house. That being said, however, Dear Richard will make sure we have at least two bags of Reese's Peanut Butter Cups on hand. Because you never know.....

In my building there are some young kids but no one goes trick or treating
I did have candy in the past just in case but no one ever comes so this year I'll just skip buying candy.

It's been dead around here the past few years, but I'll get some Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, Bounty and Snickers bars just in case.

Since I live in a rural area only ever had 1 kid in the past 8 something years
that being said, I still always get Halloween candy for the fun of it - get different kinds and mix them together. Enjoy them for myself!

It's mainly reminiscent of my own trick or treating days. I absolutely loved it as a kid and have fond memories.

Anyway, I like gummy stuff and certain chocolates, geared towards the unique. Which I would get to give out if human offspring were to knock on my door.

We buy candy just in case anyone shows up.  We get very few if any kids ringing our doorbell.  We usually buy 2 smaller bags of candy that we both like.  We snack on the left-overs. I have been in my townhouse for 15 years now and I do not think we have ever used up our candy.  I do not buy candy until Halloween day. I get it at work and put it in a bowl when I get home.  The first year I was out here I bought way too much candy. At the end of the trick or treating hours when one family rang our doorbell we gave both kids their own entire bag of candy with permission from the parents.  We still had two bags left for ourselves.  I love chocolate but having 4 bags of candy in the house to snack on just seemed like it was too much.  It was fun to make Halloween more special for the family we gave the candy to.

I don't do trick or treating anymore at the house. We used to get a few kids then all adults..so I stopped doing it. when I did have treats it was brand name small snack bars. kit kat or herseys with almonds are our favorites. Jon used to buy reeses peanut cups and we ended up eating them for a week. now I wait for the day after Halloween and get it at the local drug store on sale :)

We get a lot of kids coming over after school lets out so we always have tons of candy.  All kinds.  I just grab the assortment bags and let the kids take as much as they want from the bowl

Last year we had one trick or treater.  However, I started sending a Halloween Care Package to my oldest when he started college, my youngest was still trick or treating.  So I buy different kinds of candy and put it in a bag (one for each roommate and my kid) and mail it off.  Yesterday DD and I went to the Dollar Store to get a selection and I will get one of the  large variety packs at Walmart to bulk them up.  My two at home and the few trick or treaters we get can have what's left.  We also go out and stock up on candy after the holiday when it's on sale.

1998 was the last year we had brats at our door. Moved from city to the country. My wife gets me some dark chocolate to go with a couple chocolate stout beverages

I used to give out Hershey miniatures. But since I have arthritis so bad I quit giving out candy 6 years ago.

I usually buy some sort of chocolates plus things like rockets (which are also known as smarties) because I love them. This year, I'm going to put the bowl on the front step because we want to take both kids out together.

I've always given out the Hershey's miniatures because that's what I like, but the kids don't so much, so this year I got some new glommy candy that I've never seen before. I think it's like sour gummies, which the kids do like. I live in a neighborhood full of kids, but since I don't put out a pumpkin anymore, not many kids stop at my house. I love to see the little princesses and superheroes, so I have a wispy ghost to hang on the porch light. Some don't say a thing when I open the door, so I ask, "What's the magic word?" A lot of them answer, "Please."

I live in an apartment complex so no trick or treaters.  I used to get a large bag of the miniature candy bars.  They used to have really big bags of those that only showed up at Halloween time.  They were like $10.  If they still have them I am sure they are more than that now.

We hardly get any trick-or-treaters here, but we'll make sure to have something in just in case. We usually go for stuff my parents like so it doesn't go to waste - so probably Bounty/Snickers/Mars/Kit-Kat etc. We may just get a mixed box of miniatures though (e.g. Celebrations/Heros etc).

In eight years I've never had a trick-or-treeter at this apartment complex, but just in case, I have 3 pounds of peanut butter kisses, those candies that are made by the MaryJane company, and only come out on Hallowe'en.  My favorite candy ever.  I guess if there are no kids, I'll have to eat them myself.  Should last me the better part of six months...Heavens, but I love that stuff...you know:

We've never had any Trick or Treaters, Japanese kids don't really celebrate Halloween. (and it would be a very brave child in deed to hike all the up here through the woods to knock on my door.)

it's been many years since i've bought candy for trick or treater's. honestly, it was always very upsetting to my mickey
and snick
, to have trick or treaters knock on the door. out here, in my rural area, there are only a handful of kids that would live close enough to stop at my house.

We usually get those fun sized candy bars. We live in a neighborhood where there are very few houses, maybe one to a block, so there are years we don't get anyone at all. We just make sure whatever we buy is something WE like!
