Hey everyone, my name is Mel and I am a life long cat mom. All my kids were kitten rescues and are now 10.5 year old female, Luna. 8yr old brothers, Twiz and Chubbs. Luna is grey, Twiz is black and Chubbs is black and brown. And my dog, Sadie.
Luna is currently sick. Here's the scoop:

My 10.5 year old, 8 lb cat, Luna was at the vet today for an x ray, as she hasn't pooped since last friday. (She was at the vet last Friday on IV for dehydration and blood work. High liver enzymes and low RBC #s. Given sulcrate. Zeniquin and metronidazole.)
She was taken in around 12:30 to have the x ray and enema done. I picked her up at 2:30 and she's very "drunk" . The vet said the enema pulled out soft stool, and now she is clear. The x ray showed some infection in her intestines and to keep on with the antibiotics. It is now 4:00. Her pupils are dilated as wide as her eyes allow. She is disoriented and unstable, mostly in her back legs. She was given Domitian and antisedan

I've seen my cats have the big eyes after surgery. It usually lasts 24-48 hours or until the sedative is fully worn off (Links pain meds had a mild sedative so he kept the big eyes while on that too).

Ok, that's somewhat a relief. Even this morning it only looks like her pupils went down maybe 25%.
Thanks kieka

That's a great photo of all of your fur-kids hanging out together.  How is Luna doing--back to normal by now, I hope?

Thanks!
Unfortunately she isn't quite back to her full self as of yet but she is on her way there. Her last dose of antibiotic is today, so within a couple days I am hoping she'll be herself again.
Her anaemia has been reversed :D.
Now we are fighting a battle of only pooping once every 2 days but they are good healthy poops so I am hoping it is the antibiotics having an effect and not a serious or long term bowel issue.
Thanks for checking on Luna. Everyone's concern is greatly comforting and appreciated. :)

You might want to talk to your vet about probiotics after all those antibiotics to replenish a healthy microflora. I've also found probiotics (specifically acidophillus) have been really helpful with my cat's constipation as well.

Antibiotics always mess with my head so I am not surprised that she's still a little out of it. Hopefully shes back to normal within a few days of being done with those.

I have been using probiotic powder in her food for the last 2 days. :).
High hopes she is back to her norm by Monday as I just gave her the last dose of antibiotic.
