My 10 year old cat Ally is sick! She won't stand on her own, but she keeps trying to walk! Her front paws aren't moving but er back paws are. Her meows are weak. She had a fit of meows earlier. I rolled her over onto her left arm and nothing since. I'm so scared! I don't wanna lose her! If anyone could explain what's going on please let me know!! My dad said this might be her time. That's okay too! But I would like to know at least know.

My cat is 4 1/2 year 0ld cat and doing about the same thing...dragging his back leg and moving slowly eating slowly. I took him to the vet. He was extremely anemic. They did not do a blood test though, they treated him as if he was a healthy four-year-old cat and took x-rays, gave him shots prematurely, and told me he was impacted. I lost my cat the next day ! Do to negligence on their part they did not do any blood tests while he was in the animal hospital. He had pale gums and they totally missed it. Be sure they check him for anemia. A blood transfusion and maybe necessary but I never got the chance!

10 years old really isn't that old for a cat these days. I have heard of cat's back legs giving out before; there are a few threads on here about this happening. This is definitely a serious issue and one that needs a vet visit.

I strongly suggest a vet visit.. we cannot diagnose your cat, only a vet can.

Please let us know what the vet says!
