Helllo beautiful people, my friend just went out of town in an emergency so she gave her male adult cat to me for care taking. He is an year old. I am keeping him in my room but my other female(also an year old cat) doesnt like him. They both had a small fight (no scratches) i stopped it. But now he is breathing really hard. And im worried. He is new to me and the surroundings but he is breathing really hard. He is not purring since his he is making no noise. Help please? Also he refused to eat anything but now he ate few biscuits but im still worried. He is breathing quite hard...

He probably doesn't feel comfortable with the whole situation. Strange house. Strange kitty. Missing family. All around not good. It probably would have been a better solution for you to check on him at his home daily instead of having him at your place since you have your own kitty. Personally, I'd move him into a bathroom or different room that your kitty doesn't spend much time in so he has less smells of other cats to contend with. Also a smaller room would let him see the whole area easier so he would feel more confident with his surroundings.

Well the situation now is quite different. He is a very friendly cat but my cat always hisses even when he tries to walk in her direction. Any suggestiom on how to make her more friendly?

Nope. Just time. Treat together and play together if they are comfortable so they associate good things with each other.
