Wally is cute, but I really like the name Ash... it goes with his coloring..

but what do I know about names????  My first cat, as a child was named BoBo. My next one was an orange female whom I was so original in naming: Pumpkin!  and now I have Artie.. that was his name when I adopted him. I never changed it. He had it for 8 years so why confuse him?
The first cat I can remember having was named fireball lol she was orange, then I had another orange one about 7 years later, named Harley. Idk why I've had such a time naming this baby!

Ok, if I count correctly, he's your eighth pet, right? How about Henry the Eighth? (I have 8 cats, and my youngest is Henry, though his name was given to him by the shelter so is just a funny coincidence. :-)

I like Wally a lot. He kind of looks like a Wally to me.

Our other pets names are Nova, Bo, Rudy, Zeus, Tayla, Oliver and Jonah. Past RIP pets names are:
Boss
Solomon
Milo
Kobain
Dusty
Ozzy
Hank
Baxter
Harley
So I'd like to stay away from those :)

HELP!!!

I'm not sure why but the name Davy popped up in my head looking at the pictures.  Wally is definitely a cute name though.

How about "Shadow?"

Shadows aren't really black.  They are gray.

A couple of the pets I have had, over the years, didn't have names, per se.

Instead I gave them initials.

I got the idea from the old TV show, "MASH."  The character "B.J. Honeycut" didn't have a name.  Just "B.J."  They did an episode about it, if you remember.

I had a cat named, "K.C."

I had a budgie named, "B.B."

If you say it right, it sounds like a name.  "Casey" or "Beebee."

There are all sorts of initials that sound like names:  "C.C."  "D.D."  "J.J."  "P.T."...  I think you get the point.

It was a lot of fun when people tried to guess what KC's initials stood for.

They all guessed "Kitty Cat"  "Killer Cat"  "Krazy Cat  "K.C. Jones"

People didn't understand that he just had "letters" for a name.

BTW:  If you're trying to think of a name for a cat, THIS is required reading:
The Naming of Cats by T.S. Eliot

The Naming of Cats is a difficult matter,
It isn't just one of your holiday games;
You may think at first I'm as mad as a hatter
When I tell you, a cat must have THREE DIFFERENT NAMES.
First of all, there's the name that the family use daily,
Such as Peter, Augustus, Alonzo or James,
Such as Victor or Jonathan, George or Bill Bailey--
All of them sensible everyday names.
There are fancier names if you think they sound sweeter,
Some for the gentlemen, some for the dames:
Such as Plato, Admetus, Electra, Demeter--
But all of them sensible everyday names.
But I tell you, a cat needs a name that's particular,
A name that's peculiar, and more dignified,
Else how can he keep up his tail perpendicular,
Or spread out his whiskers, or cherish his pride?
Of names of this kind, I can give you a quorum,
Such as Munkustrap, Quaxo, or Coricopat,
Such as Bombalurina, or else Jellylorum-
Names that never belong to more than one cat.
But above and beyond there's still one name left over,
And that is the name that you never will guess;
The name that no human research can discover--
But THE CAT HIMSELF KNOWS, and will never confess.
When you notice a cat in profound meditation,
The reason, I tell you, is always the same:
His mind is engaged in a rapt contemplation
Of the thought, of the thought, of the thought of his name:
His ineffable effable
Effanineffable
Deep and inscrutable singular Name.

I had a cat named CC but it stood for Crazy Cat. She was a typical tortie, crazy, LOL.

I like @GitaBooks  suggestion.

I like the name Navy and it is most definitely an adorable little kitten.

But of course I am biased and would say any kitten is adorable ;)

Cats rule and dogs drool!
