(Salem 17yrs male & Midnight 5-8yrs female) Salem puked in the morning then lied down with his ears flat all day. He wouldnt eat or drink water for hours. After he finally did, he slept for a while, then got up and tried to walk and looked really uncoordinated and had his tail wrapped around his leg. He ate drank and slept more. Meanwhile, the other cat, Midnight, who had disapeared for a few days, showed up at 2am with similar symptoms but very hungry. But also uncoordinated. I think the heavy symptoms hit her while she was in the forest somewhere and she came back when she recovered a bit. The next day midnight slept like a log and salem walked around normaly and went outside. Slower coordination than normal. This was last friday-saturday. Monday salem had the same symptoms but recovered within a few hrs. Midnight just sleeps now. Any idea what this is?

Gosh!! Can you get them to a vet? Is there anything nearby that has poisons like an auto repair shop, etc.? They could have gotten into a spill.

Holy meows ... that's scary!

I don't know what's wrong, but try to get them to a vet if you can. Let us know, ok?

Have they been spraying for mosquitoes in your area (you didn't list where you live in your profile so it doesnt show, but in Florida they have been spraying.)  It does sound like they have been poisoned with something.  Investigate the area around you, and then also get blood work done at a vet to see if kidneys or liver values may show something.  Also, there are sometimes cat haters in the neighborhood who will intentionally put out poison for cats, so just be aware while you are looking.  But definitely get to a vet.

Also, there are many mean people who like to poison outdoor cats. If you feel your cat has possibly been poisoned, ALWAYS go to the vet. There's no telling what they could've gotten into and you're very lucky they are still alive after waiting so many days to even post this question. When in doubt, always talk to a vet first.
