For the past 18 months I've been feeding this pretty grey kitty.. NEVER thought we would become friends.. A couple weeks ago I was sitting on patio w bag of treats.. The first night she just meowed, the second she came to me!!! She is simply a sweet cat!! Would sit my lap 24/7.

Could this girl be a feral kitty or an abused drop off that trusted no one???? Have an appointment to have her fixed soon.. They also try to find homes... Have no clue if she has been a house cat!!! WHAT TO DO???

Thanks,
John

There are many reasons why cats are outside, not necessarily because it's feral.

Not sure what advice you want. You are getting her fixed, which is very good. Heaven forbid she brings you a bunch of kittens to deal with. We usually say that if you feed a cat you are now that cat's person. Are you asking us if you should keep Her?

Hi @Dudley3 and welcome to TCS!

It sounds as though you are now owned by a cat.

Having her fixed is a great first step, along with the general check over by the vet.  The vet will also be able to tell you whether she has a microchip.

I know you say the vet can find homes, but I think she might like yours.
It's quite possible to keep her inside.. lots of things you can do to keep her happy.

Let us know what advice you need and we'll do our best.
