Hello! We are new here :)
We just took in this beautiful kitten who was abandoned and found in a parking lot :(
The vet thinks he's around 7 weeks now. He was found at around 2 weeks and a vet tech had been caring for him and bottle feeding him for us up until a couple of days ago when we got to finally bring him home!
Any suggestions or tips that I should know about? The vet and techs have been working with us closely and gave many helpful tips on bringing him home and caring for him since he is so very young still, but I want to see if anyone has any other helpful advice for this sweet baby

:)

Any guesses on breed? :)

What a little darling! Kudos to you for taking him in. Your vet has advised you, no doubt, on when he needs to be neutered & he will have his first shots.

As to advice, all he needs is wet and dry food, clean water, lots of loving, someone to play with him and that's about it. He probably thinks he died & went to heaven.

What is his name?

What a sweet little baby [emoji]10084[/emoji]️ I especially love the last photo of him on his back playing without a care in the world...the way a kitten should be!!!

Thank you for opening your hearts and home to this little one. Have you decided on a name yet?

Thank you! He has definitely stolen our hearts! He's a feisty little guy for sure! I had forgotten how kittens are mostly teeth & claws in the beginning ;)
Our 4 year old daughter named him Sailor. :)

He has definitely thrived since we've had him in our home! He started in on his own little napping and playing routine almost immediately! We've given him his own comfy spaces in our home & I'm pretty sure he's already chubbier than when he first arrived :)
Our kids are so in love with him & I'm fairly certain he thinks our 1 year old is a littermate :)
Our 4 year old named him Sailor :)

Don't let him play with your hands. (Easier said than done, I know.) When he goes for your hands, immediately toss him a little soft toy to play with instead.

I had heard that before so I tell the kids to always offer a toy if he starts going for their hands or feet & it seems to work well. However, for some reason, the men in my family think it's funny to have him attack their hands. Very annoying & counter productive in my training!
