My kitten is currently 4 months old and she is pretty long already,  but there doesn't seem to be any kind of average height indicator or information about different kitten stages.  I know height can vary a lot depending on the cat, but does anyone have any predictions as to how tall/long my cat might end up being fully grown?   I measured her at 14 inches long from nose to butt,  and 7 inches high from the shoulder down.    As you can see in the picture below, she's not even fully stretched out across an average sized office chair.

It's really hard to estimate how big a kitten will end up being unless you know the parents.

My Rocket is only 7 pounds with dainty paws, little legs and stubby all over. As a kitten she was malnourished and tiny when I got her (barely over a pound at 3-4 months) and she just never really grew. Link on the other hand was pretty average kitten size until 10 months old (maybe a little small even) when he just exploded until 18 months. He's now 13 pounds and sitting Rocket comes to his chin but standing she can't see over his back. He is just all legs and very long and narrow (especially when you put him and Rocket next to each other). For an example, Link can stand on his hind legs and hook things off the kitchen counter with his front paws (a good 30 inches high) if he wants too. Luckily, he can't see on top of the counter (and he is a horrible jumper) so it only happens when I am being slow to get dinner and he tries to grab his food dish off it. Nightfury is more normal proportions and has always been an average size from baby to adult without an extreme.

Some kittens will get all their growth early and slow. Others will be slow to start and exploded later. Many grow an steady rate to 12 months old and some keep going to 2 years (or even up to 4 years although that would be rare). There is just such a huge range that you need to know the parents to really get an idea. You can look at paw and ear size for an estimate because they typically will grow into those. But again, there are some breeds with larger or smaller paws or ears so it's not 100%.

If I had to guess, I'd say expect her to double her weight between now and a year but a lot of that should be muscle and fat because her growth should start to slow down as she develops muscle tone and fills out some. Probably looking at adding half her current length and height to reach her full grown. So about 10.5 inches tall and 21 inches long would be my rough guess. You don't mention I weight but I'd guess in in 8-10 pound range fully grown. Essentially a larger female but similar to an average male in size.

Unfortunately she was abandoned at 10 weeks old so I don't know who the parents are, but myself and my family suspect some kind of hybrid larger breed genes based on her size, features-giant ears, and her dog-like personality (she was found in a rather wealthy area where my vets office is, so I wouldn't be too surprised if she was at the very least half pure-bred)   I'm not sure of her weight though, but she definitely more than doubled her weight, maybe tripled it over the past 2 months (she was SO light when we got her, but she may have been malnourished- we don't know how long she was on the street for).  She also may have doubled her length since then, but I didn't measure her in the beginning.  Maybe she was just an early sprouter and is going to slow her growth down earlier than average, who knows.  She already looks close to the full grown size of my previous cat.
