Or maybe it's just bony poop?
I recently took in a bunch of strays, and a few weeks ago one of them (I'm unsure which one) has started to have whitish poops. The other poops are all fine, a nice brown and firm and not too crumbly, it's just these poops that are hard and white, though the shape is good and well-segmented.
They are all also eating the same diet of chicken heads, lungs, a little liver, and chicken necks. They also get some meaty ribs every other day.
I'm suspecting it's the mother as her appetite is a little low and she takes a VERY long time to decide to eat. Her fur is lovely though, she hasn't lost any weight, and she doesn't have any yellow eye's or gums. She's also still active and isn't puking as far as I can tell.
Could it just be bony poops? Or do you think it could be liver failure? I'm going to stop the bone for her for a few days and see if it clears up, but if not she's off to the vets!
Also, if it does turn out to be liver-failure, how should I go about altering her diet, and how long would she have before it's time?
Another thing, how would it have occured? I'm pretty sure that she's not been around any chemicals, nor flea-treatments seeing as she's been pretty much outdoors for god knows how long! I do know that she was someones pet, because she's AMAZINGLY friendly... she was probably kicked out because she had kittens :-(
