Cat infection in one eye?

So Friday night, I noticed that my sweet baby (4 years old) cat, Lucca, was squinting her left eye an awful lot, it was watering and I could see the third eyelid a little bit.

The next morning, it seemed to be a little better, but I believe in the phrase "better safe than sorry" so I called her vet and we got in to see them that day. They stained her eye to look for scratches, and found none. They told me it was a minor infection from maybe something that irritated it, and they gave me some Neo Predef drops to put in her eyes 3x a day.

Today, I get home and her eye looks worse than yesterday. The third eyelid is showing more, and she's spending more time than usual in dark bathroom rather than out where she normally is (though she did come out to greet me and eat and play, I'm just not used to her hanging out in the bathroom) I'm not sure if it's just a result of the stain they put in her eye yesterday (and she's hiding more because I have to put drops in her eyes more) and it should get better from here, or if I should be worried. I tend to overreact to things when it comes to my cat's health, and vision is something I'm especially paranoid about so any advice or reassurance would be super helpful, thanks!

Attached is a picture, it's not the best, since her eye is in shadow, but maybe it will be helpful.

TCS has a number of articles on eye infections in cats:

[article="31244"][/article]
[article="22329"][/article]
[article="32495"][/article]

It can take several days or even weeks for them to clear up, and it's quite common for cats to hide when they think they're going to get more eye drops. :vibes::vibes::vibes: that hers starts to clear up soon!

Thanks a bunch! In retrospect, this thread is probably a little redundant (and I probably should have looked for similar threads first), I have a habit of jumping to the worst possible scenario when it comes to kitties being sick. Lucca's eye is looking better and she's not hiding so much any more (though she still doesn't like the eye drops, haha.) Thanks for the comment/reassurance!
