good afternoon!

a two-part question today --

How many rooms are there in your home?

and...

Which is your favorite room, and why?

i'll start!

we have 5 rooms in our home! there's the living room, kitchen, bathroom, and downstairs and upstairs bedrooms. there are also two hallways and two enclosed porches.

i think the living room is our (the cats and my) favorite room. we spend the most time there together, it has the wood burning stove in it, and there's the cat's wall furniture there too.

how about you?

We have 8 (not including basement and walkup attic since those are unfinished.

Living room, dining room, kitchen and powder room on 1st floor.

Upstairs has 3 bedrooms (although one technically may not be called one because it has no closet - it's the room with the walk up to the attic).  A full bath up there also.

We have a very good sized covered from porch and 2 patio areas, one in the backyard and a side yard one which isn't currently used (it's off the living room - it's the old port cochere). Oh and a detached garage but that's no room lol.

It's pretty small overall but fine for 2 people.

Favorite room is the living room since it functions as our everyday everything room. We eat meals there too. It has a wood burning fireplace which is a bonus. The cats love spending time on the back of the couch since it spans a very large window. Lots for them to see out there :D

7 rooms. Favorite is my room because my huge, super comfy bed with the velvety soft sheets on it is in there. All 3 cats love it too. There are 7 pillows on it so we all get to have our own with some extras.

I have 5 rooms.. 2 bedrooms and 2 baths.. a large living area which consists of an open floor plan with the dining area and living area..

The kitchen is large and off to the side, separate room..

The great room divides the 2nd bedroom and bath...

I guess you could say, my favorite room is the living area...It is comfy..not much style but just comfy; at least to me...

Artie is either on the sofa, or cuddled up on me at night.. I am on my recliner..that is "my" chair...

At night he is either cuddled up next to my legs, or curled up on my pillow...

I have 8 rooms, a deck, a 1 car garage and an unfinished basement. My favorite room is my living room. I have comfy furniture for lounging and a nice fire place. I think the cats favorite room is my bedroom since they love to sleep on my bed. They do cuddle with me in the living room too.

Four tiny rooms that make me crazy. Lost tons of space and a huge porch when the old building was sold. But I absolutely love my location. Police and fire department super close

Our house is open plan so there is one big living space and the bedroom is a loft above that. We built a cat highway so the kitties can get up and down between the two floors without having to take the stairs. There's also an office, a bathroom and a toilet. It's pretty small.

My favourite part of the house is the deck, particularly in the summer.

I have eleven rooms. My living room is huge with 16 ft. ceilings. I have an office, laundry room, dining room, kitchen. Then I have three bedrooms and two full baths. Upstairs is my room. It actually is a finished room over the garage that is open and looks down over the living room. I have my genealogy, computer and sewing things there. It is the largest room in the house. I have an enclosed garaged and a screened in porch. It didn't seem too big when we built it, but that was 14 years ago. Now it seems, I have a hard time keeping everything clean.

My favorite place is not one of the rooms, but my screen porch. It overlooks the farm fields and it is always cool out there. There is a big pecan tree by the porch and a breeze is always blowing. I have a wonderful set of plush furniture out there, a small table with 2 chairs. We eat there sometimes.

Our house is really small. Five rooms and a basement. Kitchen with dining, living room, master bedroom (which is two bedrooms put together for a larger master) and then a second bedroom, one bath. It's really all we need, although I would dearly love to have one room added on for a library. We have a small deck out back with an in-ground pool.

My favorite room? The kitchen!

Our house is small: a living room, eat-in kitchen and powder room downstairs, three small bedrooms (one used as a study) and a bathroom upstairs. There's a basement with a laundry room and pantry, plus an unfinished third floor (which would yield two more fair-sized rooms).

It's the worst financial mistake I ever made lol. But, we love it.

Built in 1925, an American Foursquare with Craftsman elements. Old, lots to still fix after living there 6-1/2 years but comfy and big enough for us

that sounds like a very nice floor plan!

i have a chair that's really 'my' chair too -- the chair at the computer desk in the living room. it's an (used) executive chair, cloth covered and with a nice high back to it and armrests (i've replaced these, i think that was last summer).

Yes, I have a "Lazy Boy" rocker/recliner which is MY chair... it is about 8 years old and in need of replacing. I have used it so much! Much more than the sofa/sofa bed which is soooooo old.. from my first apartment, but in great shape. No one would ever guess it was purchased around 1988.....really old..and in such good condition--just dated.

It is a queen size, and great for when I want to lie down and watch TV. I can stretch my 5' 8" body out completely.

The movers almost couldn't fit it into the apartment entryway and the quick turn.. but the owner of the moving company persevered.  They had to take the door off it's hinges, and take the cover to the light fixture off and shimmy it inch by inch through the door. I swear it took them half an hour to get in in.

Never mind getting it in the door, just getting it around the sharp right angled corners did not help either..I do not know how it will ever get out of here.  It will either have to be broken up or hauled over the balcony..

The recliner is easier. The top comes off.. and it is in 2 pieces.. That is the good thing about La-Z-Boy...very expensive though.. I was working at the time I bought it..

We have 9 rooms. 3 bedrooms, 2 baths plus my little dressing room, foyer, kitchen/dining/office and living room. You could almost call the laundry closet a room. Its deep enough that the litter boxes are in front of the washer & dryer; but thats it.

I love my house but I do wish we could have a basement and a non-tv type room off the kitchen. Maybe for pur school space. But at least somewhere calm & quiet.

My favorite room is my kitchen/dining/office/school room. Its where I spend most of my time.

yes, location is important!
  it's so hard to 'down-size'.

i'm sure your cats all love the cat highway! mine enjoy theirs, though it seems that no matter what point we're at, there's a 'dead end' on one end of the cat highway.
