Throwing up

My cat is almost 3 years old. Since about 6 months he has time's when he will eat and then throw up. Ive taken him to the vet 3 time with the same thing. Hes had vlood work, ultrasound and xray done. Everything came back fine. Every couple months i have to change his food and he stops for a month or so and then starts doing it again. Tge bad thing is he won't eat wet food and is super picky with dry food. Any ideas in what to do? I break down his meals into small frequent meals durinf the day and give him a small bowl of food at night. He always has fresh water and drinks through out the day.

allergies to a specific ingredient in the food...could be and additive or even a major food source.. 

try logging his food and symptoms, if any, in order to find out/bullseye what it is...

also try a limited ingredient food...

I have him on a grain free food with rabbit which os what the vet said the last time we went. He has been good for a few months and now back to throwing up randomly. Other then that he has no other symptoms. Im going to call the vet again. I just hate the thought of spending that amount of money again for the same results.

Is he scaring and barfing? Mostly vomiting wet food or dry? Have you tried feeding multiple small meals per day rather than one or two or allowing free feeding? What wet foods have you tried? Have you tried something like freeze dried raw? 

He vomits all wet food. I do not feed him wet food. He theows up dry food as well. I feed him 4x a day very small meals. I leave a small bowl out overnights. We have tried freeze dry raw and he didnt eat it.

Honestly, it's probably the dry food. I had an all kibble fed cat that that started vomiting his food and when i transitioned him to raw food the vomiting stopped. He wouldn't eat wet food either, but it took time and patients and i transitioned him to raw. If you've ruled out medical issues your only real option is to change foods. Kibble is very hard for cats to digest in comparison to wet or raw food. there are hundreds of wet foods on the market. Some cats have preferences for texture ore flavor. Cats don't take to raw food immediately because it's very different. It takes time for them to get use to and eat raw food.

I'm sorry your cat is vomiting. Hope he gets well. Maybe he has a sensitive stomach.
Maybe he has parasites or worms?

One of my cats does that.

She used to throw up almost every time she ate. 
Switched to feeding her out of an ice tray and now it's about once a month.  Even though she has never "gobbled" food, the ice tray worked. 

My cats use to be daily pukers as well.  The vet suggested giving my cat a little slice of butter once a day. They basically told me it helps coat things so it slides out the other end instead of coming back up.  It worked on one cat but not the other...might be worth a try.
