Hello! This is one of my cats, we call her Kimber.
I will be posting photos of her, a few of her siblings, and her father. I do not have any of her mother because the guy who gave her to me said she is very feral. He was kind enough to capture her momma and get her spayed though. Her mother is an all black, very small, domestic shorthair, so I know she is a mutt. I would just like to hear what maybe you think her "other half" could be!
First, her personality;

  • Kimber is the sweetest female cat we have ever had.
  • Though she is not super affectionate with humans, she shows her love in many other ways. She does, however, get along very well with the other cats. That is why she is most affectionate in my opinion; my other female cats are standoffish and aggressive (except our suspected ragdoll mix).
  • She is very territorial about my mom - her human. She has her own spot right next to her in her bed, and if another cat jumps up there, she stands her ground until they leave.
  • Kimber LOVES water. She chatters at us whenever we enter the bathroom or kitchen, throwing a chattering fit until we turn the faucet on. We relate her sounds to monkey-like sounds. Eeh-eeh!
  • Kimber also loves to play fetch. She is the first cat we have ever had who has done this. She would play for HOURS if we decided to partake in such an event.
  • When she wants something (the water turned on, us to throw a toy for her to retrieve, etc.), she will give the most INTENSE stare, not a single blink out of her (but always a few little pathetic-sounding whines!)
  • We often time can hold conversations with her by making her little chirps and trills (and mostly her monkey sounds!) back and forth with her.
  • When she "meows" she chatters her jaw A LOT. I have never heard a real "meow" come out of her. She also does this prolonged whine where she lets out one continuous high-pitched sound - often times with her mouth shut!
  • She does NOT like to be held at all. She will make her strange little sounds and squirm until we let her free.
  • She is very small. I would say about 7 lbs at this point. She is 1 year and 4 months old.
  • Her fur is black all over with a distinct grey on her belly, in between her paw pads, and under her chin/chest. The pictures don't capture her real colouring too well.
  • Any other questions about her personality that I may have not mentioned, just ask!

This is Kimber:

This is her brother, Diesel. Apparently he is HUGE. They have two sisters that look just like him that I do not have photos of (they are not my cats, I just asked for pictures of her siblings out of curiosity):

These are her brothers, Sebastian and Jackson:

And lastly, papa bear! He is very unique looking to me. This is the only photo they could ever get of him:
-----
Please let me know what you guys think!

That is precisely the intense stare she gives us when she wants something! I think it's hilarious. And thank you very much!

I was thinking that, but the more I look at her father, the more I think he's a Norwegian Forest cat. Her personality matches that of a Norwegian Forest cat, but in other ways, the Maine Coon. I just don't know. Thanks for the input, though!

Second for Maine.
Due to her personality, I feel the same. I just don't see it in the looks department, really. More so looking at her father since he looks less like a mutt than Kimber, I think he looks more like a NFC.

Well, Para Bear doesn´t look much like a Maine Coon. Doesn´t look like a SIberian either.

What about Norwegian Forest Cat? He just doesn't look like a typical cat to me, I guess.

I think he looks more like a Wegie thant a Maine Coon or a Siberian. Kimber's profile is very Wegie ish.

Oh by the way, Papa Bear?. Wouldn´t "Lion King" be a bit more appropriate
?. Or "Lion Bear"?. He looks like a royal guardian!

Norwegians have a quite distinct triangularish face and head, with a longish face.  So, no Norwegian no on Papa Bear.

Maine Coons are supposed to have the muzzle alike in a quadrate - at least the pure bred ones.  So left is a look alike of a Siberian - their eastern cousin from the cold parts of Russia.

But as you do live in USA, we should presume  there are connections with Maine Coon, or some similiar natural.

Very handsome cat is this Papa Bear, as made to be a free living ferale cat....

But your Kimber is somewhat more alike a Norwegian, I can agree. Her muzzle is somewhat longer, even a little triangularish if you are so minded.  I suppose its after momma.

Momma was apparently a carrier of the longhair, although herself a shorthair.  That will give a statistical ratio  half of the kittens longhair/mediumhair, half shorthair.

And as we see, they got half each of the coloring and pattern - some all black from momma, some all tabby from father.   Some biggish, and some petitish...

Very interesting speculations here. Thank you very much for your input! I guess we will never know for sure what her ancestors were, but that's okay. She is a lovely cat and companion so that's all that matters [emoji]128516[/emoji]
