Hi, I joined up hoping I could get some help identifying the colour of these kittens, especially the smallest darker one. Both of the darker kittens were born what I thought was blue at first but when I looked into it I found a condition called fever coat. They both looked the same and so I figured that they were both black. The larger kitten seemed to confirm this as she is turning black, but the smaller ones coat started to grow out almost completely white! Now it seems to be grey so I was hoping someone could tell me what colour she will end up.

I was also wondering about the two boys. Are they seal point or blue point? And will they be long haired? The coats of the darker kittens are different to the lighter ones. Not just the colour or the length either the texture is different.

Hi I adopted two cats about two months ago as they were not being cared for properly. They were underfed living outside under the house and the males coat was all matted. Neither of them is desexxed

Do you plan to get them spayed or neutered and groomed?  They will be much more comfortable.  You also want to keep them separated for now or you will have babies in no time.  Not something you want for a mom who is unhealthy.

Thank you for rescuing them!

Thanks I got my daughter to hold the cat while I carefully cut away the matted fur then we gave him a bath. We ended up in the shower fully clothed me holding the cat and my daughter washing him!
I've been feeding them both kitten food and they are looking much better. Unfortunately the female cat was already pregnant so we now have four kittens as well.

I am going to get them spayed and neutered very soon. The male is getting done first and then the female. I can't afford to do them both at the same time as they need microchips as well.

They still need to be separated.  The female can get pregnant within a week of delivery and without going into heat.  The male will also be fertile for up to a month after his neuter.

How old are the kittens now?

I adopted two cats and one was pregnant. The kittens are three weeks old and doing well. When should I offer them solid food? I have heard that baby cereal is good to start them eating is that right?

The kittens are three weeks old. I had no idea she could get pregnant again so soon! Thanks for telling me I'll seperate them strait away. I hope she's not pregnant again.

Kittens show readiness to begin trying solids after 4 weeks old when they have cut their baby teeth. Many are more ready at 5-6 weeks old, and most continue to nurse mom for several more weeks in addition to eating solids.

Gerber turkey or chicken baby food is a good weaning product, as is Fancy Feast Classic or Kitten pate-style wet foods.

Always make dry kitten chow available 24/7.

Do you know how old they are?

Let us know if she starts showing any signs of pregnancy.  You can always choose to have the spay done at that time.  Having back to back litters is very hard on mom.

Baby cereal is not good - cats of any age do not need or thrive on grain products. Meat baby foods are good, as long as they have no onion or salt in them. Or ready-prepared kitten food. You can water it down to a soupy texture to start them off.

The kittens have teeth already. They seem to want something from me they are mewing when they see me and running towards me. Mum is a very small cat too id like to help her feed them. Here's a photo of them together the kittens can be held in one hand to give you an idea of her size.

No but I will this afternoon when I get home from work. I've got canned cat food, fish or chicken or beef. I've got tuna in spring water or sardines in vegetable oil. What do you think?
