My cat was tested and is highly allergic to flax, milk , and soy. I already avoid soy, and never give  the cats milk. Flax is in a ton of "good" foods - both canned and dry. He eats the Simply Nourish canned stews but all the cats eat the Simply Nourish dry - which has flax. As does Halo and Wellness dry and canned. They also eat FF classic chicken and Sheba chicken cuts and pate.

Any suggestions for canned and dry that also eliminate rosemary (one cat is allergic to this additive)?

Have you looked at the Natures Variety line of foods? I do not know if they contain the specific items you mentioned, but their customer service is really good.

I'm also looking for a novel protein for a food allergy elimination test. My cat turned up her nose at the Hill's Prescription Diet d/d Skin/Food Sensitivities Potato & Venison that I just gave her. And she'll eat just about anything. Hate to see her have to eat something she doesn't like.

Here's a thread about novel proteins: http://www.thecatsite.com/t/306947/your-favorite-brands-of-novel-protein-canned-cat-food

A quick check fo food that don't contain rosemary came up with these:

The Nature's Variety LID canned foods don't contain rosemary: http://www.instinctpetfood.com/instinct-limited-ingredient-diets-canned-for-cats The dry food does.

It doesn't look like the Blue Bascis canned foods have rosemary either but the dry food does: http://www.instinctpetfood.com/instinct-limited-ingredient-diets-canned-for-cats

Merick LID doesn't have rosemary in either dry or canned: http://www.merrickpetcare.com/cats/products?categorySort=1&cat1=3&cat2=24

Natural Balance LID canned foods have no rosemary but the dry fodo does: https://www.naturalbalanceinc.com/cat-formulas/special-category-limited-ingredient-diets

Some of these brands do contain flax, though. You'll have to read the ingredient list.

I take it that raw and home cooked diets are not options for you?
